Long Forest

Long Forest is an extension & renovation project in the rural suburb of Long Forest in Victoria. In an aim to sensitively stitch in to the existing much loved home, the extension utilises a planted courtyard to give the home room to breath. The new portion of the home contains materials that reflect the existing character of the home, to provide both a sense of being new, while also being connected.

The views of the adjoining forest and mountain ranges are amplified by the raking ceiling and tall glazing. The deck connects to the existing landscaping through platforms which provide spaces to relax and enjoy the sunset.
